I'm a regular contributor to New York magazine, and the author of a book called "Among Righteous Men." My writing has appeared in Harper's magazine, Foreign Policy, the Washington Post and Slate, among other publications. I teach at Drew University and NYU and live in Brooklyn.

    In the Virginia Quarterly Review

    I have a short piece on “Brooklyn,” by Colm Tóibín. About halfway down this page. In the fall issue, which should hit stands soon, I review Jonathan Lethem’s “Chronic City”; in the winter issue, I’ll be writing about “Mathilda Savitch.”
